To start at the beginning, I am visually impaired and use the zoom feature built in to MacOs. I hold control and then scroll up or down to zoom in and out. I am trying to set up an elgato stream deck foot pedal with the control key as a hotkey. the basic functionality of stream deck only allows for a single push but not a press and hold. I downloaded bettertouchtool but I can't figure out how to set up a custom button using it that does what I want to do. any help would be greatly appreciated
This had almost the desired effect but not quite. As mentioned above I want to use this to zoom in and out using macs built in zoom accessibility feature. To do this I press and hold the ctrl key while scrolling up or down with two fingers on my trackpad. When using the example above, if I press the button(pedal) on my stream deck it will act as though the ctrl key is pressed while I try to type or click anything, but it is not working in conjunction with the scrolling of the trackpad. I am starting to wonder if i wasted money on the stream deck pedal and should have bought a cheaper midi drum pedal or something. any advice is welcomed.
ah true I remember this is a limitation of BTT's current event handling implementation that will reset the modifiers when a scroll event happens.
This might be solvable but I will need to look into it.
thanks
