Preset import function is not working

-----------Mac A-----------

  • Type of Mac: MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)
  • macOS version: 10.13.6
  • BetterTouchTool version: 2.530

-----------Mac B-----------

  • Type of Mac: MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)
  • macOS version: 10.13.6
  • BetterTouchTool version: 2.530

*So, basically I have 2 same machines except that
they have different user names

-----------On Mac A-----------
after exporting a preset by clicking
Manage Presets -> Export Highlighted -> Triggers & Settings
I get a Default.bttpreset (json) file.

-----------On Mac B-----------
but, as I try to import the very preset from A to another Mac B by clicking
Manage Presets -> Import -> Yes -> Import Triggers & Settings (THIS WILL OVERRIDE YOUR Better Touch Tool SETTINGS!)
I do get an additional preset in the preset list that reside in "Manage Presets",
but, nothing is actually imported.

*But on Mac A, importing itself works fine.

I believe I'm having the same problem...

I EXPORT a Preset from one Mac, name it "HFT.bttpreset", copy the file to another Mac, IMPORT it, and I get an import named "Default.bttpreset", which has nothing loaded in it.

Just setting up on a different Mac (couldn't use Time Machine as it has an older OS). Tried to import everything from the original Mac and have the same issues as above.
Did anyone get this working? Is this the way to import all your triggers etc?

The triggers work however! I just can't see or edit them. I will try restarting BTT once the action I started has completed.

Restarting, closing and opening and restarting the computer made no difference.
The presets work but I can't see them or edit them in BTT

are you sure you are looking at the correct tab in BetterTouchTool? (e.g. Touch Bar)?
