Hey!

so i got the new trackpad (Gen3), and im disapointed in the latency/lag.
Plugging the trackpad with a cable eleviate some latency, but dont fix t Hey!

I just got the new trackpad (Gen 3), and I’m disappointed with the latency and lag.

Plugging the trackpad in with a cable alleviates some of the latency but doesn’t fix the accuracy lag compared to a higher polling-rate device.

When I purchased the trackpad, I initially thought it would offer the same experience as the built-in trackpad found in Apple Silicon MacBooks (125Hz). However, the external one is limited to 90Hz, both wired and wireless, which is frustrating. I could understand lowering the polling rate on battery to preserve battery life, but it drives me crazy that a product at this price point doesn’t even offer this option.

do you know if its possible with another software or by flashing a custom firmware ?

I’m pretty sure it’s a hardware limitation that can not be worked around, but it’s still just a guess
