Persistent Mouse Lag Issue Under High System Load – Request to Disable Mouse Processing

I’ve been using BetterTouchTool for almost 10 years and am very grateful to the developer for the long-term support of the app. However, I have a recurring issue: during high system load, my mouse stops responding to clicks or responds with a delay. This issue is instantly resolved when I close the app. It was especially frustrating when I worked on my old MacBook, where even the keyboard buttons became sticky under high load—something that isn’t noticeable on the new MacBook, yet the mouse lag persists.

I don’t use any mouse-related rules or settings at all—I only need keyboard management. Considering this, it’s very strange that the app affects the mouse even when no mouse functions are set. I reported this issue back in 2019, but nothing has changed since then. I kindly request an option to completely disable mouse processing and tracking to ensure there is no chance of encountering this annoying issue.

unfortunately all apps that do anything with events will have this issue if your system is under super heavy load - however this usually means something else is wrong as the load required to cause issues is very high.

BTT doesn't process mouse related stuff if no trackpad/mouse triggers are configured, however even processing other events can cause such behavior.

Personally I haven't experienced issues with this in a long time, but it can not be prevented completely under super heavy load.

Thanks for the answer, and I understand that. The reason I wrote this is because none of the other apps which process keyboard events I tested are not leading to that issue. I don't have a really super high load, it just happens during the compilation of apps, for example.
