I use the attached configuration to switch to the Arc browser, switch to a particular space, then open a new tab. Sometimes (not always), Arc behaves as if the option key is still held down after this is invoked. When I try to open a link, it will open in a split pane, which is what happens when you click on a link with option held down. The behaviour continues until I manually tap the option key myself. I'm not sure if this is Arc-specific. Any ideas?
As Arc is already the active app after launching it like this, you don't need to use the "Send Shortcut To Specific" app action but can instead use the standard keyboard sending:
Sending to a specific app can be more problematic if the specific app gets confused with the complex modifiers. With standard system wide sending the system will handle any modifier related things automatically
Thanks for the quick response. I'll give that a go. Is my "launch" then delay the best way of going about this when I either want to switch to the running Arc or launch it if it's not running?
