I’ve been using a keyboard shortcut to maximise the current window vertically, but it’d be nice to also have an option somewhere to allow Windows-style (which feels a little dirty to even say, but this is like the one feature I miss from Windows’ window management) grabbing the top resize handle of a window and dragging it to the top of the screen (or, IIRC, the bottom handle to the bottom of the screen, but it’s been a while since I used it) to vertically maximise a window, instead of the current full-screen maximise, for when my hand is already on the mouse.
I’ve been working around it with a snap area in a thin bar along the top of the screen (so I can drag to the very top and maximise, or drag to my snap area to vertically maximise), but that requires a bit of extra cursor precision and doesn’t show up on all monitors.
If this is already an option somewhere and I’m just not seeing it, I’d appreciate any pointers anyone might have.
