Open URL with Selection not working with clipboard content

Describe the bug:
When using the "Open URL / Open URL With Selection" action with "%@" in BetterTouchTool:

  1. Selecting content and triggering the action works fine.
  2. Manually copying content and triggering the action works fine.
  3. However, when I use a third-party plugin to OCR & copy, the content shows up in BTT's clipboard, but triggering the BTT action doesn't work.

with 4.443 alpha it should use the clipboard again if nothing is selected
