As of a few updates ago, when using keyboard shortcuts that are meant to open a url with a selected bit of text appended, the selection fails to be appended and instead the most recent item in the clipboard is used.
Even adding a first step to the sequence for the key command to copy fails to help. I must manually copy, then use the key command to open url with my selection.
Affected devices: Keyboard via shortcuts (but I suspect any gesture/method is affected)
