Oh no! KeyboardCleanTool not working

Note: Before bug reporting, please make sure you have tried the latest (alpha) version of BetterTouchTool and that you have already tried to restart your system :-). If you encounter a crash, please attach a crash log from the macOS Console.app from the "User Diagnostic Reports" section.

Describe the bug
First time seeing this bug-- I opened KeyboardCleanTool, started the cleaning mode, proceeded to clean my keyboard, and all of my keys were still active. Turned the cleaning mode off and back on, same problem. I've never seen it do that-- it's worked well on this exact version of my OS countless times.

Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)
  • macOS version: 11.6.1 (20G224)
  • KeyboardCleanTool version: Version 3

Possibly try to remove it from System Preferences => Security & Privacy => Privacy => Accessibility, then add it again.
