Now playing widget closes Group

Hi. I try to start configuring my stream deck mk2 with bettertouchtool and ran into some issues..

I have nested the widget into a group (all my audio playback stuff is in that group, like vol +, vol -,...)
when apple music is not running and i press the widget in the group, the player gets opened and the group closes and goes back to the root group. but thats not what i want, cause i have the cross button to leave the group. when i configure the widget to do nothing when tapped, and i create a press down action to launch an app (apple music) the same happens. The group gets closed. When the App is opened, stream deck is not closing the goup.
I think this can be a BUG?

Can you check whether enabling this option on your group helps?

AAhhh. Thank you so much. I am a complete newbie.. and have overlooked that option! :grimacing:

Another quick question:

i have configured a long press action and a short press action for one key.

is it possible to "not perform" the normal press down key action when long pressing a key (for a long press action) ( in my case, when long pressing, i also perform the normal key down action.)

Interesting. Is it possible to configure that press down lenght without an actual stream deck? so at the moment i just use the stream deck emulator from BTT cause i have none. (but i will get it in a couple of days)

You can't modify the long press duration but in general it works fine in the emulator:

You can not have a "on button down" action if you want long press and short press. SHort press needs to be triggered on button up in that case.

thank you for your fast reply. but this is not working here with the "now playing widget"
i press the emulator button, but nothing happens. when i configure the press down action, it is working (but with the problem of the long press triggering the short press too)

Hi again!
I have made a test and created a button where
Action executed on Button Up and
Action executed on Button Long Press

displays different HUDs (like in your description) and yes, this works like expected. With the "Now Playing Widget" it is not working here.

Is it my fault, or does anyone know a workaround for me until this gets probably fixed in a future release?

First: this piece of software is amazingly complex. thank you for your hard work to make this happen.

But another thing which seems kind of strange:

I am just here, trying to configure my newly acquired stream deck.

I wanna use a toggle on off action to configure a recording button, which is grey or "red" (while recording)

this works quite well but when things get a bit complexer, BTT seems to make strange things:

  • short press up for toggle on off seems to be not possilbe. when i try to set it up, the BTT GUI does not update my changes.

i need to make this as a short press up toggle on off sequence, because i wanna have a long press for recording sub menu.

is there a bug in the btt configuration?
