Hi, I have an issue with the now playing widget.

Macbook Pro with MacOS 15.4.1, BTT 5.377
Also posted to Reddit but no responses.

ISSUES:

  1. The Now Playing widget shows "paused" instead of artist and track. It also hides when paused, even though this is unchecked.
  2. Spotify re-opens, persistently. It's a BTT issue, as it doesn't happen when quitting BTT.

TRIED without result:

  • Disabled/enabled widget
  • Rebooted several times
  • Removed BTT and installed latest version and re-did the whole configuration.

mhm it seems to work fine here (tested with 5.384 alpha). In general Apple has removed the ability to access now playing information with macos 15.4, so BTT now needs to rely on various workarounds.

Could you share your widget configuration here? (Best just copy the whole widget that's not working for you to your clipboard and paste the json here)

Ah, it's not a script, it's the basic Now Playing one as in the screenshot. I've been looking into the Home Strip conditions in which it was placed and found that it would hide the whole group if not playing, so I've moved some things around, which fixed the first issue.
Still forces Spotify to run, though...
