Night Shift action not fully activating Night Shift

Describe the bug

When using the predefined action for toggling Night Shift the effect is barely noticeable. It is not enabling “full Night Shift” (with warmth slider on maximum). Can this be changed, please?

Alternatively, can someone provide an AppleScript to enable Night Shift that works for macOS Monterey? The one I used for Big Sur is not working anymore, and I can’t seem to make it work again. Thanks!

+1 I am experiencing the same issue. I suspect the redesign that came with universal control broke this.

Would love to find a functioning way to toggle night shift through BTT again.

Seems like a huge oversight on apple's part that night shift is not easy to toggle through applescript or shortcuts.
