Hey. I was told that this mod can help me set the brightness of the Touch Bar to a high level to offset the flickering issue I have with my Touch Bar. Can anyone help out?
BetterTouchTool can not influence the Touch Bar brightness (and unfortunately I don't know an other app that might)

no, that sensor just produces data, I don’t think you can modify the values it reports to the system
Aw man, so is there no way to have your touch bar brightness set to high? Any makeshift solutions you can think of before I go and fix this thing?
Maybe it can be done via Apple's private Touch Bar frameworks, I believe they have some functions to modify the brightness. However that would require reverse engineering them and figuring out how to modify the brightness.

unfortunately not just some fine tuning, some low level reverse engineering of Apple's private code. Unfortunately I don't think anybody has looked into this yet. I think you will be out of luck unless you can figure out this yourself ;-(
I'll look into it for sure, do you know where I should begin (how do I find this code, and what tools should I use) ? I'll definitely try to dedicate the time and effort to get this to work if I'm able to.
