Describe the bug
I've noticed that it only works reliably when I completely lift my hand off the mouse before tapping. In normal use, my palm or part of my hand is almost always resting on the back of the Magic Mouse, and in that situation the tap is often ignored.
Would it be possible to improve the tap detection so that it recognizes an intentional finger tap even while another part of the hand remains in contact with the mouse?
This would make the behavior much closer to how Apple's trackpads distinguish between a resting palm and an intentional tap. Ideally, the algorithm would:

Ignore passive palm contact on the rear of the Magic Mouse.

Detect a deliberate one-finger tap anywhere on the touch surface.

Maintain reliable scrolling and gesture recognition without introducing accidental clicks.
I realize this may be limited by the data that macOS exposes from the Magic Mouse hardware, but if there is any room for improving the palm rejection or touch detection algorithm, it would significantly improve the usability of Tap to Click.
