my complete configuration is gone after an update. ?? bettertouchtool is empty.. what?

is there a possibilty to recover my config. everything is gone suddenly. and i dont know why.

if you don't have backups of your Mac already , best first create a backup of ~/Library/Application Support/BetterTouchTool (go there via Finder => Go => Go to Folder, make sure to include the ~).

After you have a backup of that folder, try to restore one of the auto-backups

there was a problem with some of the alpha builds.. one looped the install process, so i skipped that. but now everything is gone. i have timemachine. do you know where i can get back my settings from the time machine??

That's also the folder you'd restore via Time Machine. But I'd still first create a backup manually (just copy it to some different place). Then I'd try the restore settings from auto-backup and only if that doesn't work I'd go through Time Machine

i have tried to recover the first in the list, but there is no difference. i can not see my triggers anymore..

yes there is a bunch. i tried the OLDEST..

I would recommend to try one of the newest (maybe not the very latest ,but one from the last few days)

If you want you can zip the folder you backed up and send it to me (andreas@folivora.ai) then I can check. (The zip might be large)

Alternatively try to restore via Time Machine (~/Library/Application Support/BetterTouchTool )
