MOVING & RESIZING

For some time now, I’ve noticed an issue with the MOVING & RESIZING function. This happens ONLY when I’m in Finder; it works fine in all other apps. :white_check_mark::ok_hand:t2:

Unfortunately, I don’t have all the versions saved right now—I’ve trashed many of them (lately, the file size has become significant), and for others, I only save aliases in the BTT folder. So, I can’t tell you exactly which version the problem started with.

However, I can say for sure that in version 6.702—which is still in the folder—the function works fine. :white_check_mark:

Update:

I can even describe to you in detail the behavior that happens.

I have the 4 FINGERS TAP - assigned the function - DRAG WINDOWS. I tap and of course nothing happens, nothing moves.

But, :index_pointing_up:t2: if I TAP on a window and then immediately go to the MENU at the top :gear: BTT by clicking on the "Current Version {check for regular updates}" magically, as I return the window to the bottom IN THE SECOND FLOOR - under the CURSOR at that moment {and regardless of whether I actually had another one - TAPPED - in the foreground there is naturally the Update MASK BTT}, moves with it. :white_check_mark::ok_hand:t2:

And that is until the next TAP - to STOP.
But then nothing.

The point is that there is—at least in my system {macOS SEQUOIA 15.7.5} this sort of "contact." :high_voltage::gear:

Ps. BONUS:  while we're at it, talking about TAP - I'm pointing out a very small minor BUG that has been present for years - when you are looking for an update and we already have the latest version to be able to do "OK" in that mask => on TRACKPAD ok :white_check_mark: => on Magic MOUSE => NO!

"Ok" or "version history" are basically ONLY clickable {from Magic Mouse}. NO Touch.

For the latter, since it was a nonsense, I had never bothered. :leaf_fluttering_in_wind:

Sorry, H4ndre! :man_in_tuxedo:t3: It’s embarrassing; I am already naturally reluctant to write. . .

Here’s a description of what happened this morning:

Naturally, I tried the latest version (6.820), but nothing worked. So, I went back to my trusty 6.702 and noticed that some of my previously added Shortcuts were missing.

That’s when I decided to switch back and forth between versions to spot the differences.

It's there that at one point—and I admit, entirely by chance—I decided to experiment by unchecking first one, then both of the boxes visible in the screenshot: "Delete old cups" and "Allow override."

MORAL:

My old Shortcuts are still missing —BUT—"MOVING & RESIZING" is working again . . . :white_check_mark::roll_eyes:

Then, of course, I closed one version and opened the other. I can now confirm that version 6.820 is installed on my system and working properly.

The first checkbox warns that "previous versions might cause conflicts" . . . well, in my case, it seems the "old copies" actually . . helped somehow.:blush:

I still don't understand *HOW*—or *WHEN* :crystal_ball:—this happened. I’d never touched those checkboxes before. No big deal. :victory_hand:t2::ghost:

So, the problem lay within my own system.
My apologies for the "false alarm." :folded_hands:t2:
