Describe the bug
Suddenly (possibly after opening the settings for the Magic Mouse in the Mac settings or in BetterTouchTool) using TipTap Right to Move Right a Space instead moves left. However, "Move Left a Space" works fine.
In a similar case, you said a solution could be in Settings/Keyboard/Keyboard Shortcuts/Mission Control. It didn't work for me. There is also a warning that "Move right a space" and "Move left a space" are used by another action. Using "killall Dock" in Terminal or restarting my Mac doesn't solve the problem.
Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):
Apple Magic Mouse 2
When I initially use one of these 2 actions by tiptaping left or right, there's no reaction at all. Only after the second time does it move left a space. The problem persists with using 3 Finger Click as an alternative.
Thank you for your quick reply!
I notice that "Move left a space" and "Move right a space" are marked with a warning symbol. On the bottom of the list there's also the notice that a shortcut is used by another action.
I don't know if it's supposed to behave like that, but when I unmark both of these actions or even turn off "Mission Control", it pops right back after using the gestures for both actions on my mouse.
I have also attached the settings of my mouse in case it might help.
By the way, I just updated to version 4.811, but the problem unfortunately wasn't resolved.
I did it for both of them (see pic 1). While the warning symbol does disappear when I use different key combinations, moving right a space doesn't work anymore. I can only move left a space. And I notice that in the Mission Control settings, the old key combination appears shortly after using the gesture on my mouse.
If I want to move left a space (even when there's no left space, i.e. outwardly nothing changes on the display), the old key combination (control, option, command, shift, plus) for "Move left a space" in the settings shortly replace the combinations I just assigned (control, option, command, minus). When I want to move right a space, the old key combination (control, option, command, shift, plus) also shortly replaces the combinations (control, option, command, plus) in the settings.
So it seems that when activating either gesture, the key combinations assigned to both actions in settings get temporary replaced by the actions assigned by BetterTouchTool (?). And again, the action "Move right a space" only changes sth. if I assign it the same key combination from "Move left a space" in settings. However, instead of moving right, it instead moves left.
I tried a few more things, including reinstalling the app from the web and from a backup after uninstalling the app (including the files/folder in the library), but unfortunately that couldn't solve it.
Yesterday, there was an update to macOS and now, luckily, the problem doesn't persist anymore.
