Hi Andreas,
The new “Remap Keyboard Key” feature is absolutely fantastic and offers amazing possibilities for customization. Thank you for adding such a great feature!
I do have one request that could make this feature even more versatile: It would be great if you could add support for remapping the following mouse actions to keys:
• Left Mouse Click
• Right Mouse Click
• Middle Mouse Click
• Scroll Wheel Up
• Scroll Wheel Down
Best regards,
Sebastian
I think you can do this now by remapping a key to something you don't use, and then going to keyboard shortcuts and setting up an action for it.
As a test, I was able to turn my right option key into a down scroll, by first remapping it to F20 as a middle step.
This isn't perfect, but it might work for you for now.
Thank you for the tip. I tried solving this using “Key Sequences,” but unfortunately, it didn’t work the way I wanted.
Here’s what I’m trying to achieve:
• Left Command → Left Mouse Button
• Left Option → Right Mouse Button
This worked to some extent, but not entirely. What I want is that when I press and hold the Command key, the “Left Mouse Button” is also held down for as long as I hold the key. So, pressing and holding should work.
Then you need to use the predefined action "Custom Mouse Buttons / Click" and set "left mouse down" for cmd down and "left mouse up" for cmd up
Now it works exactly as I wanted. I had tried to deselect “Key Down” during the recording, but that didn’t work. However, I held the Command key first and then started the recording. This way, only “Key Down” was recorded. Thank you very much!
