Mojave force click behavior

Describe the bug
Under 1o.14 Mojave BTT trackpad behavior is not consistent. Pressing (thumb) single click, sometimes turns out as a force click because for some reason the pressure to reach the force click is extremely low and then again normal. So lightly pressing single click leeds very often to click-click (force).

Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):
Magic Trackpad 2

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: 27 retina iMac
  • macOS version: 10.14 18A347e
  • BetterTouchTool version: 2.536

NB. Problem is there when I add a 2 finger click option. Yes I have this option switched off in my trackpad settings

Normal force touch is handled by the system, BTT can not influence this.

But in BTT preferences you can adjust the pressure needed to recognize force clicks! So BTT does have influence on force click detection?

Reinier

this is only for the gestures configured in BTT, the default macOS clicks currently can't be modified by BTT
