The BTT menubar icon is missing. I tried sequoia_status_item_bar2.bttpreset, but it didn't work (I'm running MacOS 26 beta 4). At some point the menubar icon disappeared. I uninstalled the preset and even completely reinstalled BTT, but the menubar icon is still missing. Any help would be appreciated.
If you played with any of the menubar status item actions you can do a full reset by running the predefined action "Show / Unhide All Menu Bar Status Icons / Items" once. E.g. via a keyboard shortcut
macOS 26 support will come soon.
Thanks for the prompt reply! Tried both Show / Unhide All Menu Bar Status Icons / Items and Show Always Hidden Section (Menu Bar Status Items), but unfortunately that did not help. BTT is also missing from Search Menu Bar Status Items and from the list of status items if I select Show Menu Bar icons Left of Specific Icon.
Hello, I don't know why the icons on my status bar are not displayed correctly. I uninstalled the preset and reinstalled it, but the problem still persists. I need your help. Thank you.
maybe your BTT icon is disabled in the BTT settings?
The setting for the menu bar icon is turned on. I toggled it off and back on several times but that doesn't help unfortunately.
Problem solved! In Settings under 'Menu bar' | 'Allow in the Menu Bar' BetterTouchTool got turned off for some reason.
Ah, good to know! That's a macOS 26 thing, it turns apps off automatically when dragging out a menubar status item for a specific app. This might have happened while using that preset because this feature is not yet optimized for 26.
