Menu Item Libraries

@Andreas_Hegenberg
I like to create one (or more) menuitem libraries from where i can manage the items centrally and re-use (call from library) the items over multiple (circular) floating menus. I tried with named triggers but couldn't solve this. Is this currently possible in some way?

It could be done by creating the menus via scripts, but the UI currently doesn't offer such an option. But I like the idea, basically being able to reference items from some item library in any menu.

Should be easy to add if I'd just add a placeholder floating menu that acts as library

yes!

Looking forward to the next alpha :wink: :sweat_smile:

I think an option like "Library Items" should be added in this list, right?:

yes, or maybe a more general „Reuse Existing Item“ that would allow to reuse items from any other menu

Would re-use from other any other menu not bypass the idea of centrally managing the items(library idea) ?

Blockquotet could be done by creating the menus via scripts

Is there any manual/how to about this?

No, you could just have a (disabled) "Library" menu where you add everything and can reference it if needed. I think this would be the most flexible way.

There is some documentation -- I'm currently working on adding many examples there. One floating menu example is on that page in section " Floating Menu App Switcher"

friendly reminder :slightly_smiling_face:

Sorry this will take a bit. I think it'll come in July

:+1: ok thx for the update
