Hi,
I'd like to report a Magic Mouse drag latency issue that appears to be specific to macOS 26.
Working machine (no issue):
- MacBook Pro M1 Pro, 14-inch
- macOS 15.7.3
- BetterTouchTool v6.304
- Logic Pro 12.2
Affected machine (issue present):
- MacBook Pro M5 Pro, 14-inch
- macOS 26.4
- BetterTouchTool v6.545(have tried v6.304 on this Mac, same issue)
- Logic Pro 12.2
Issue:
When BTT is running on the M5 Pro machine, there is a noticeable delay at the start of every left-click drag in Logic Pro. The mouse feels "sticky" for a brief moment before the drag begins. This makes working with Logic's tools (such as the Marquee tool) frustrating.
Quitting BTT completely resolves the issue immediately. The exact same BTT configuration works fine on the M1 Pro machine running macOS 15.7.3.
Additional finding:
Enabling "Disable BetterTouchTool while holding" for the Cmd key (in Advanced Settings) resolves the drag latency when Cmd is held down. This suggests the issue is at the Magic Mouse event interception level, not in any specific trigger configuration.
What I have already checked on the affected machine:
- No left-click or drag-related triggers defined in Magic Mouse (Global or Logic Pro specific)
- No relevant triggers in Normal Mouse
- Disabled "Enable doubletap to drag" — no effect
- The issue affects all left-click dragging in Logic Pro, not just specific gestures
This seems like a BTT + macOS 26 compatibility issue at the event handling level, rather than a configuration problem. Is there any way to disable Magic Mouse event interception on a per-app basis as a workaround?
Thank you!
