Tahoe's design isn't great at all.. looks weird, but that's just my opinion. The new spotlight is an improvement, but it's still a bit slow. I use Alfred...... BTT works great in Tahoe and stable except for the clipboard history.
Tailwind creator has joined, let's see what we will get.
i use raycast.
Do you suggest upgrading it?
Like, is it stable enough?
None of the features that they are offering, I'll be using neither the Spotlight not the AI.
Exactly, he's the reason I'm using macOS
I tried Raycast about a week ago but back to Alfred. Been using it for 7 years now. Raycast seemed a bit suspicious, and I didn't feel comfortable using it. For me, Alfred is better..Plus, the app is created by an indie developer, not a VC company.
For me, it was other way around.
Regarding the VC backed thing, yes, it is concerning...
But who knows, before shutting down, they might open source it ![]()
Iām able to get everything I need out of the free version of Raycast. This includes application launcher, clipboard history, window manager, ability to launch automations via scripts (Raycast Script Commands GitHub library of automations via Apple script and there is a extension that can search that github library), file search, and lastly Raycast notes for jotting down temporary lists while working...
Probably... can do things in alfred as well. I guess... but since I started with Raycast, found a strong reason to shift to Alfred.
