M720 Button 5 Thumb Button

I am trying to program the thumb button to launch an app but it is set to ctrl-up. I do not have the Logitech driver installed but cannot get BTT to recognize the thumb button and allow me to program it. I ha it programmed on USB Overdrive to open a program and would like to get BTT to do this as I have replaceed USB Overdrive with BTT.

use "Remap Keyboard Key" under "Automations..." to remap the keyboard keys that the mouse is sending. i have it mapped as such:

if you map it to a uncommon key like "non_us_backslash_or_plus_minus", you can then map that keyboard key elsewhere to launch your app.
