LogiTune and BTT Logitech Mouse Configuration

I’m using a Logitech MX Vertical mouse and want to switch to BTT’s Logitech Configuration instead of Logitech’s own software, mainly I can use the scroll wheel button/middle click to activate BTT’s autoscroll function (and stop using Smart Scroll).

I’ve uninstalled Logi Options, but I still have Logi Tune. Do I need to uninstall that? I ask because I have a Logitech StreamCam and Logi Tune provides useful settings for that. However with it running I cannot seem to get BTT’s middle click/autoscroll function to work. Is there a way to get that to work without uninstalling Logi Tune? Thanks in advance.

I didn't know about Logitune, but unfortunately yes, this seems to be even worse in taking over the mouse than the others and I think there is no way to disable the mouse related parts of LogiTune ;-(

However, for the smooth scrolling stuff you wouldn't need BTT's full Logitech Configuration support. In that case removing that and just configuring the smooth scrolling modifier might work.

Ah, thanks for such a swift reply! I think I’ll probably need to keep Logi Tune. The annoying thing is that like all Logitech software it seems there’s no way to use it as and when needed (e.g. only when I need the webcam) it requires background processes.

Thanks for the heads-up about smooth scrolling. Logi Tune also offers that, though it is less customisable.

Just a brief update on this. Smooth scrolling via BTT does work even with Logi Tune and its background processes running, as does customisation of the thumb and middle-click buttons. However the auto-scroll function does not work, nor does the top (DPI change) button.

For auto scroll you might need the latest BTT alpha version, I recently added a fix for this scenario

Just tested and seems to be working fine! Thank you!
