Logitech Thumbwheel as a Button

I am trying to get away from BetterMouse and rely completely on BetterTouchTool for my Logitech MX 4.

One thing which is really holding me back and I see no way of replicating is using the thumbwheel as a button β€” BM allows using it as a button (just a gentle tap, no clicks) which can work with gestures.

Is this possible in the new Logitech Mouse support or can it be added?

so basically touching the thumb wheel and then moving the mouse up/down/left/right?

I currently don't have support for the touch recognition exposed to the UI, but the touch is already being detected so that would be simple to add.

is there anyway to avoid accidental trigger of horizontal scroll on mx master 4, like min scroll distance @Andreas_Hegenberg

@Anurag_Kashyap the new alpha version (uploading) now allows to use the mx master 4 scroll wheel as a button (it is capacitive so it can sense touches) and in that mode you can now also configure minimum scroll distances:

Loving it! Thank you!

Thanks @Andreas_Hegenberg for the prompt response and update as always! This is amazing and exactly what I needed. I explored it a bit and it works quite well in the alpha.

I noticed a few minor issues but will create separate reports for those after I've tried to replicate my entire BetterMouse setup on the weekend.

@Andreas_Hegenberg I am having conflict with better mouse latest version when I use it to trigger keyboard shortcut set on my better touch tool. The thumbwheel button is also the only thing stopping me from using better touch tool as my sole mouse app but I have MX Master 3s for mac. I wonder if it is only supported for 4 since I do not see it on my setting for my 3s.

I had only enabled the feature for the MX Master 4 so far. 6.704 (uploading) als makes it available for the MX Master 3 and 3s.
