Affected input device: Logi MX Master 3
Device information:
- Type of Mac: laptop
- macOS version: 13.6.6
- BetterTouchTool version: 6.206
It seems most of the latest February 2026 versions have such bug: in 90% BTT does not recognize customized keys (especially “button 7” or “button 6”) after reconnection from different host.
For instance, one host is MacOs with BTT (host#1) and 2nd host is Win11 with Logi software (host#2). The issue occurs only after switching from Win11 host#2 to MacOs host#1.
BTT restart does help to return the mouse buttons recognizable in such case, but it’s not comfortable to restart BTT every time after switching the host.
Also the issue does not occur after switching in opposite direction: from MacOs (host#1) to Win11 (host#2), as the Logi software properly recognizes the host switch event.
Reverting to BTT 6.124 reduces such cases to 5-10%.
