There are a bunch of options for controlling the mouse speed. There is DPI, acceleration, HID++/System Pointer Speed, etc. How do they all work together? I'm finding my MX Master 4 speed varies all the time and I can't tune it in.
Also, when my machine wakes up, sometimes I have to restart BTT to get the mouse to speed up again. I'm running the latest BTT and saw that some changes were made a few weeks ago.
Any suggestions?
higher dpi will result in higher speed if the pointer speed settings are not adapted (because the mouse samples more dots per inch :-)). So generally you will probably want to reduce pointer speed when using higher dpi values.
Acceleration is on top of that, if you disable acceleration the speed will be constant - otherwise it will get faster if you move quickly.
Thanks! What is the HID++ vs System Setting? Also any idea why sometimes BTT doesn't handle the mouse speed when I wake my Mac from sleep? What can I do to help troubleshoot?
