Logitech MX Master 4 - Factory Setup

Hello

I just bought a license but very confused how to set up the default behaviour that Logitechs software offers out the box.

Is there some profile I can import to map all the buttons with relevant actions?

I followed Logitech Mouse Support · BetterTouchTool Documentation which I thought would automatically give all the mappings.

Thank you

Here is a basic example, best use with BTT 6.004 alpha as there have been many improvements to Logitech Support recently (will be released on stable channel very soon, for now get via "Check for alpha version updates" or here https://folivora.ai/releases/btt6.004-2026010701.zip)

Thank you! That works. It points me in the right direction to customise this further

Hi @Andreas_Hegenberg, is it possible to recreate gesture button actions on MX Master 4 explained in Getting Started - MX Master 4 (section Gesture Button).

Currently, the profile you’ve shared uses Haptic Sense Panel for some of actions normally assigned to gesture button and I find it quite counter intutive.

On MX Master 4, the Haptic Sense Panel is Button 6, whilst Gesture Button is 8.

yes, you can change it to any button you want (click the two button 6 triggers and record button 8 instead)

Thanks, remapping button 6 triggers to button 8 moves the switching between desktops which is great, but I can’t get Mission Control and App Expose shortcuts to work. (i.e. single press for mission control, hold and move up but app expose)

Edit: The app expose works as well but not the single press mission control.

I think there is no single press mission control in the preset, the single press triggers the tahoe app spotlight.

However if you replace these three actions with the "mission control" action, you should get a single press mission control

Yep you’re right, I think I got it all sorted. Very pleased with this software.

Thanks for all the efforts put into the development.
