Logitech Mouse Acceleration and Movement

Hello, I have a Logitech G604 and tried migrating away from Logitech G Hub but when I set up the Logitech configuration the mouse speed and acceleration kept changing. It would move extremely fast, like it had a very high DPI (2500 estimated) and then dramatically slow down (500 estimated).

I’m not sure if it’s a configuration issue.

Thanks!

did it happen randomly while using it? Is Ghub fully uninstalled?

Yup it happened randomly. I would be moving the mouse and going about my business and then it would slow way down and keep going back and forth.

I did uninstall every piece of the Ghub including the ~/Library files.

I checked the battery and also power cycled the mouse.

very strange, possibly the mouse disconnected briefly and lost its settings?
Could you try to run this terminal command:

osascript -e 'tell application "BetterTouchTool" to set_user_defaults key "BTTLogitechDebugEnabled" numberValue 2'

And if it happens again send me (andreas@folivora.ai) the logs stored in ~/Library/Application Support/BetterTouchTool/Logs ? (go there via Finder => Go => Go to Folder, make sure to include the ~)

Andreas this would happen to me too on my Logi M720. It’s “random” but tends to happen ~50% of the time when I ‘apply all settings’ in the BTT “Logi config” settings.

(Note - I also have SteerMouse running because it’s the only app that can assign buttons correctly to my mouse. BTT without SteerMouse will only recognize my thumb button as a “tab” for example. I know this makes debugging more difficult but I literally cant use my mouse without it right now)

I’ll try the debug thing too and email you if it happens again
