So ever since I've made the switch from Windows to Mac years ago, I've always missed my muscle memory of knowing you could click in the bottom left corner of the screen to open the Start menu and I've been trying to find Mac apps that could replicate that functionality. Well, I've recreated that with a simple Floating Menu tweak and I believe it looks quite nice. It just works and is the ultimate solution to my missed functionality! Let me know what you all think!

I don't anticipate this being groundbreaking information, since you've already put forth the time and effort to create a solution you like, but there is actually a native solution that I'll pass along anyway since it has multiple other functions (:
Under System Settings > Desktop + Dock > Hot Corners (all the way at the bottom), you can configure a click-less version of this shortcut (and a handful of others) for individual corners of your screen. My launchpad shortcut is hot cornered to my upper left this way (:
