I have not been able to find it but is there is a means to access the launcher settings window or even the context menu dropdown when you first invoke it?
I have only been able to access it via the mouse after invocation. The regular setting cmd-, key will only open the BTT settings screen. Perhaps a dedicated hotkey that does open that context menu so that we can not only access the launcher settings but perhaps the other items housed there as well?
Also another possible request is there is an option for vim-style or something similar? I am guessing vim style won't work since we can type something but maybe something with a modifier? Like Ctrl-J/K to move up/down the list?
That does not work as expected. I can't explicitly target BTT Launcher itself for Keyboard Shortcuts, it does not appear to work.
For a global trigger it works ok, but that is not obviously what I want here.
Update: Or maybe i could it works intermittently... Only if the BTT config window is in the foreground does it work with the Launcher. If activated while other apps have the focus it won't work.
Ah, sorry, I forgot to mention that it is a condition. Ctrl + j is only the arrow key if the launcher is active.
If you want Ctrl + j to always be the arrow key, you don't need a condition.
Since you mentioned VIM: Some people consider this a “mode” that could be activated, for example, by tapping the Cmd key twice. As long as this mode is active, j would always be the arrow key, even without pressing a modifier. Depends on what you prefer.
Ah... okay... Didn't know this activation group was a thing. Literally learning something new about this every time I play around with it. This solves my second feature request here. But not the first regarding accessing the launcher settings window itself.
