I have Touch Bar keys set up to open my Downloads and Desktop folders. Very often while working in another application, I'll press one of these and the Finder will be brought to the front, but the actual (already open) target window is not - it's left behind other Finder windows and I have to repeat the action. If I'm already in the Finder it works every time.
