Lag between consecutive keyboard shortcuts with new keyboard implementation (v6.565)

Hi,

I'm experiencing a noticeable delay when triggering keyboard shortcuts consecutively in BTT 6.565.

Setup:

⌃⌥ ← → Move window to left half

⌃⌥ → → Move window to right half

Issue: When triggering these shortcuts back-to-back (e.g., snap left then immediately snap right), there is a clear lag between the two actions. This behavior started after a recent BTT update.

What I tried:

Reassigned the shortcuts to different key combinations → lag persisted

Disabled Mission Control shortcuts in macOS System Settings → no change

Disabled Window Snapping in BTT → no change

Workaround: Enabling "Always use old keyboard shortcut implementation" in BTT Keyboard settings resolves the issue completely.

This suggests the lag is introduced by the new keyboard implementation added in BTT 2.400.

Environment:

BTT version: 6.565

macOS tahoe 26.5.1

Please let me know if any additional information would be helpful. Thanks!

have you tried to restart your machine? (the new keyboard implementation was added about 10 years ago. so that’s probably not the issue

The new keyboard implementation (which is BTT's default) can become laggy if the system in general is under heavy load (possibly check via activity monitor for any strange process cpu usage)
