I tried to remap my mouse buttons to “F” function keys.
No matter how deep I go, BTT doesn’t listen to these shortcuts, sometimes fails to listen to them randomly, even if I customize it heavily to do so.
Even if I install apps like Bettermouse or Steermouse.
Even if I set each keyboard combination I need, it sometimes fails to listen to the mouse itself.
What’s wrong with this configuration, and why doesn’t it “just work” like on Logitec Options+
Do you want to configure BTT to send function keys when the button on the mouse is pressed or do you want BTT to react if it recognizes a shortcut that has been generated by an other app after the mouse button press (e.g. the keychron software) ?
First option, and it has to recognized currently pressed modifier keys, which for some reason I couldn’t figure out how to fix yet, it just doesn’t listen to that in any mac os application.
If I press a mouse key, I want BTT to recognize it as a Function key + whatever modifier combination is being pressed, since all of my BTT shortcuts for apps are based in function key combos.
With LogiOptions+, this wasn’t an issue, but I now want to uninstall it forever, and just use BTT as my only application for setting up shortcuts.
I’d appreciate a hand in trying to find a solution for this, since every setting I tweaked inside the app doesn’t make it “work” yet.
