I've noticed that when enabling KeyboardCleanTool the touchbar gets dark and unresponsive which is expected. However when pressing modifier keys such as CMD or Option which change the view for the touchbar, it does get activated after that and becomes click responsive.
Noticed it as well - however in my case the clicking wasn't really doing anything
