keyboard shortcuts stop working after Fast user switching

Describe the bug
As soon as I get to the Login Window or do a fast user switching, keyboard shortcuts (window resizing and placement) stop working. I have to quit and restart BTT for them to work again.

Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):
Macbook keyboard.

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: Macbook Pro touchbar
  • macOS version: 10.13.5
  • BetterTouchTool version: 2.530

Nothing ? I would love some help on this.

I am having the same issue. If I quit better touch tool and restart it after switching user it works fine (annoying work around)

I have seen the same issue. Originally I was merely opening the configuration window for BTT and it resolved the problem. The issue seems to be because the lock screen uses secure input, and by default there is a checkbox under Keyboard Shortcuts > Keyboard Settings that says 'Automatically switch to old keyboard implementation if secure input is enabled' which is checked by default. Unchecking this box seems to have resolved the issue entirely. I can lock my screen, and then log back in and the shortcuts continue to work.

Hmm... After using this for a bit, it only solves the issue sometimes - Every once in a while, when coming back from the lock screen BTT still shows that 'loginscreen' has enabled secure input, and the shortcuts do not work. To resolve the issue, I just locked the screen and unlocked it again.
