Is there anyway to program hot keys for my customized snap area? I like using full top to bottom for right 2/3s of screen. For the left most 1/3, i like to split that 1/3 into a bottom and top. Can't seem to find a way to program this with hot keys.
Thanks!
You can assign the predefined action "Trigger Snap Area" to a keyboard shortcut.
Alternatively you can use the predefined action "Custom Move & Resize", which can do this without using snap areas.

Hi. I'm brand new to BST, and I like it a lot. Above you mention two methods for setting keyboard shortcuts for customized snap areas. I don't see anything in the preferences window nor in the menu that reference "Trigger Snap Area," "Custom Move & Resize," or predefined actions.
Would you please point me to these settings?
I've looked for these setting with Integrate With Native System Resizing and Use Classic BetterSnapTool Resizing.
Here are my specs.
BST Version 1.9.12 (44)
Mac Studio 2022
Apple M1 Max
Memory 64 GB
macOS Sequoia 15.4
Thanks very much for your help.
This is for BetterTouchTool. For BetterSnapTool you can set the keyboard shortcut for each snap area when editing the snap area.
I simply didn't see the gear icon below the custom snap area when editing it. So all is well now.
In looking around the forum for the first time, I didn't find an area dedicated to BST. This old thread was the only thing I found when searching for the thread topic above. Apologies for posting in the wrong place, and thanks for your help!
No worries, the forum is for both apps (highly recommend to try out BetterTouchTool
- you can generate a free 3 month promo license if you have purchased BetterSnapTool )
