I am using version 4.318, and I have experienced a similar issue even when using previous versions. When the computer's RAM usage approaches around 50%, the older version of BetterTouchTool (btt) would suddenly crash.
Thanks to btt, I use various shortcuts on my Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, and Trackpad. However, it becomes inconvenient whenever this issue occurs ㅠㅠ.

I can't think of any reason why it would crash in such a scenario (I'm constantly at > 80% RAM usage).
Do you maybe have some other app that kills/pauses apps if RAM usage gets too high?
A little while ago, while using Zoom meeting, Affinity Publisher, and PDF Reader Pro, I noticed that the RAM usage was approaching around 50%. Additionally, the BTT shortcuts weren't responding, and I couldn't even quit the program.
After completely closing Zoom, Affinity Publisher, and PDF Reader Pro, and restarting BTT, it started working normally again.
Currently, I am using a Mac Studio Ultra with 8TB SSD and 64GB RAM. However, I encountered a similar situation when I used an Intel MacBook 16-inch in the past.
It seems that BTT tends to crash when running large files in Affinity Publisher. I really enjoy using BTT, but it's frustrating not being able to use shortcuts during such incidents. ㅠㅠ It's quite challenging ㅠㅠ.
