On my large monitor I sometimes feel that the window is too big. I like to have it centred and see the background, maybe at 1920x1080 or something. Is there a way to achieve this so I don't need to manually move and resize?
I had the same requirement, so I've setup the following actions when I double tap trackpad with two fingers.
Move/Resize first, using the window width and window height settings to get any size you would like.
Then centre the window.

You should not need the extra center window action (although if it works it's fine!). You should be able to do that completely using the "custom move / resize" action:
