One handy feature that Linear Mouse has, now that I no longer need it for natural scroll disabled and mouse acceleration disabled is a feature that turns the mouse buttons 4 and 5 into universal back and forward buttons, essentially in apps that have navigation like a browser, it allows to you to navigate back and forward by pressing the buttons.
I can get it to work with safari by using menu options, but that's not something that works will most apps so I was looking for a more general solution.
Thanks.
yes, you can assign the "3F Swipe Left (Page Back)" and "3F Swipe Right (Page Forward)" actions

This is a very simple mapping. You can create shortcuts in BTT (BetterTouchTool) to simulate webpage navigation by using a three-finger swipe left for "back" and a three-finger swipe right for "forward."

Thanks guys, that's three apps replaced with BTT now.
I recommend that you bind the right mouse button for left and right swipes to navigate forward and backward, especially if your side buttons are not easily accessible.
