I sent an email about a refund, is there any way to know if it's going through?
The software is great! but it doesn't fit my use case.

Sorry for not answering your question, I'm just curious what is your use-case?
Most people I know (over 40, but sometimes under) don't understand why there are so many updates for BTT. They don't understand that this is one of the strengths of the app. In any case, they would rather have a new version every few years, but one that is 100% stable. This is less a “use case” than a preference. But maybe it's different here.
I was using an app called Things3, but the developers really don’t seem to care about their users. They only push a small update every 3 or 4 years, and while some people like that, I don’t. I like apps that offer new features regularly to keep us engaged as BTT, everyday there's a new update and feature. Honestly, this app deserves to be priced 5x what it is now! "Andreas, please wait until I buy the lifetime license because I just got the two-year one!"
@commi00 your request has been processed now
For the many versions, this is just how BTT works However stable releases are only pushed about once per month, so just not checking for updates manually will help a lot for users that don't want the latest stuff.
There are tens of thousands of users still on 2.xxx, 3.xxx, 4.xxx and some even on 0.xxx or 1.xxx versions of BTT - if it works for your usecase there might not be a need to update.
