is it possible to display (ideally toggle) a floating window containing text in rich text (rtfd) format with images

This would allow me to consult detailed technical notes containing text and images while I am working in other apps.

Why not using the excellent BTT Snippet Manager? It floats, you can toggle and it's easy to display text and images.

i don’t have a rtfd view for floating menus yet, but I think it’s a good idea to add one and also add a generic quicklook file view. Should be easy to add

The excellent CleanShot screenshot utility (highly recommended by me, fwiw) includes the ability to pin screenshots to the screen. I use the pin function regularly to accomplish what you want.

You can make your own screenshots (useful for pages in long PDFs), or open JPGs or PNGs and I suspect other image formats.

For this I use BTT's clipboard manager, it can pin screenshots (and select text from them) but also scrollable/zoomable pdfs etc.

Do I have to "turn on" the clipboard manager somewhere ? I am totally confused as to how even to start. thank you !

I can send text or images to the clipboard manager but not both, which is essential.
Is it my configuration or is text and images in the same clip not possible ?

if you copy from a rtfd it should show up fine with images and text
