Is it possible to create haptic / vibrate feedback on the iphone/ipad when using BTT Mobile?
I would like to use it in two scenarios:
-
I would like to have the phone vibrate when a key is pressed in the btt mobile floating menu, just like on the desktop (which there is an option for in the BTT trigger configuration)
-
An expanded idea - an ability to slide you fingers over the btt mobile floating menu and stop and start in between each key (spacing between items would be important here). The idea is to create a semi-tactile feel when not looking at the iphone/ipad screen (great for workflow and for those with special needs.
Is this already possible?

Hi @randalltrini, firstly: please confirm that you're using the "BTT Mobile" beta iOS app from TestFlight and not the old "BTT Remote" iOS app.
There's an Action in the iOS Shortcuts app called "Vibrate Device". You could configure the floating menu to run a Shortcut that contains that Action.
Hey @fortred2 thanks for the tip. I am using the test flight version. I was unaware of the shortcut. I added it in iOS shortcuts app and then it appeared in the options for the BTT configuration menu and I added it as a action. However, it does not trigger the vibration when the button is pressed. I tested the shortcut directly in the shortcut app - and it works.
What am I doing wrong?
Perhaps BTT Mobile can't run Shortcuts on iPhone. @Andreas_Hegenberg Can BTT Mobile be used to run Apple Shortcuts directly on the iPhone or do the Shortcuts always run on the Mac?
unfortunately on iOS running shortcuts from within an app is very limited. I plan to add ways to run some via shortcuts:// url, but this is not yet implemented and also pretty limited.
There will soon be a new BTT Mobile version on testflight that will allow this.
However I can add a dedicated vibrate action
