My issue is randomly losing the ability to copy text and paste text. It happens about every 30min - 1 hour. I have to alt+tab to switch applications and then cycle windows in same application and then I am able to copy and paste normally again.
If I disable BTT it never happens. Issue has followed me through 2 Mac's and various versions of operating systems running 15.4.1 now
It's like my Mac loses window focus or something pressing cmd+C to copy does not highlight the edit in the top left menu bar. Like it does when working normally.
I don't have a solution to your problem. It sometimes happens to me too. But much less often than with you. I'm not even sure if this is a BTT problem. Maybe not.
What annoys me is that sometimes cmd+c doesn't work and I don't realize it. So I set up a trigger that shows me (hud) when the clipboard changes. That way I can at least be sure that something has been copied if I need it later.
maybe you can try figure out what BTT functionality was last triggered (e.g. via the recently used section)
There are various features that can, depending on the configuration, change keyboard focus. However they don’t do that on their own, there needs to be some sort of trigger.
There has been a recent issues with the now playing widgets that could lead to focus loss, that has been fixed in the latest alpha, but this only affected macOS Sequoia
I'm not sure if you mean me. Maybe my problem has nothing to do with roe4's.
In my case, the “focus” does not change. cmd+c simply does not work. And if I then repeat it two or three times, it finally works again.
You can't see anything in Recently Used because this shortcut was of course not set up in BTT. But as I said, I wouldn't automatically blame BTT for this.
Edit: Ah, I could also set up the shortcut (cmd+c) in BTT and see what happens. I will do that.
