Is it common for you too? I have set up tap = click on my trackpad on MacBook Pro M2. Then I set up top/top left/top right clicks/taps to cmd+L in oder to go to navigation bar in Safari quickly. I have been using it for a few months, but it's a hit or miss every time I use it. About 50% of times it fires on the first try, but the other times it can take two, three or even more number of attempts before the tap is recognized.
I hope this gets fixed soon because it's very useful feature potentially.
