I manually move my mouse between my ipad and mac (UGH!) - can BTT save me from this ignomy???

hi there folks, I enjoy using my MacBook M1 and my iPad M1 in a side car configuration. I do not extend the mac desktop to the iPad, I just allow the trackpad to interact with the iPad. It works great.

however, many times I just want to shift the pointer, which I have typically lost track of because I use the keyboard so much, to my MacBook or to my iPad using a keybinding and there are several very very tantalising functions and operations in BTT they do similar things but don't quite do this, or at least I can’t find them. I've also tried setting the pointer coordinate to be negative / very positive and so on so that it would appear on the iPad and that's sort of stuff general hackery and guessing but no dice.

So, could someone pluck out the magic runes which will allow me to warp the mouse pointer to my iPad and back again to my MacBook, I would be forever grateful, thank you :folded_hands:t2:

Pete

So you tried "Move Mouse To Position" action and this is not working?

Unfortunately Apple still doesn't have any API to programatically control anything related to the universal control feature

Maybe I'll look into whether some private Apple frameworks could be used to achieve this.

No, as per Andreas’ reply, they don’t have accessible API’s for universal control. Kinda crappy really. You know, given that they’re worth a buck or two…
