I haven't been active on the forum for a year, and today I'm back! I was really looking forward to the update to version 5.7, but I'm pretty disappointed. Andrew still hasn't included the mouse scroll wheel fix in the BTT.

Hi Andreas,

As many of us know, the default mouse scrolling experience on macOS is almost unusable. It feels jumpy, inconsistent, and lacks the smooth, natural behavior found on Windows or other systems. Because of this, many users rely on third-party tools like Mos or BetterMouse to fix or smooth the scroll wheel behavior.

However, these apps often conflict with BetterTouchTool. For example, when Mos is running, my BTT mouse wheel shortcuts frequently stop working — I have some very useful actions bound to “scrolling near the screen edge” for adjusting volume, and they only work reliably when Mos is turned off.

That’s why I sincerely hope you can consider adding a built-in scroll-wheel fix or smoothing feature directly into BTT. It would make BTT an even more complete and independent tool — and also save us from the constant conflicts between apps.

macOS’s native mouse scrolling is honestly terrible... Have you tried it yourself, Andreas? Maybe give it a test — you’ll see what I mean!

Thank you very much for your great work and for considering this request.

Isn't anyone else having a similar issue? It's so weird. How do you guys handle the scroll wheel on your Mac mouse?

I haven't found any side effects between Better-Mouse and BTT yet. Do you have anything particular in mind?

Which mouse are you using? If it's a Logitech, your need will maybe tackled once Andreas finishes the implementation of the native Logitech protocol as mentioned here:

When BetterMouse is running, sometimes the shortcuts defined for the mouse wheel in BTT don't work. I have to reopen BetterMouse, and then the BTT mouse wheel shortcuts can be triggered again. This issue happens quite often.

I can only disable this software and look for other Mac wheel fix tools.
