Hyperkey issue in Klack app

I recently bought the Klack app for producing mechanical keyboard sounds from the system. The capslock key was making a much louder sound than the other keys. However I realized through a discussion with the developer, Henrik, that since I had my hyperkey enabled for the caps lock, it was sending out the 4 key presses to klack and hence the volume jumps up.

Henrik suggested i use applescript commands to disable klack before the hyperkey and enable it again after the hyperkey. I have been unsuccessful in coding this, if at all this is possible.

can anyone help with some ideas?

The key becomes louder because four keys are actually being pressed? Unfortunately, I don't know how to solve this with applescript. But if you don't need all these modifiers, you can swap Caps Lock with right control in macos. BTT can be used to set up shortcuts that only work with right control + letter. Perhaps this works more quietly because only one modifier is pressed. :slightly_smiling_face:

thanks. i will consider that.
