I'm sorry to say that, but I have found another issue. 
I replaced all update commands with the reset ones, and at first glance, it seemed to be working. But I just noticed that when you click on one of the buttons and open the menu again, the button is still highlighted.

Does this happen with the menu you posted above? If not, could you share your latest version?
It seems to work ok here:
Yeah, it is the same menu.
It happens not on the submenu buttons but on the other regular buttons, for example, the finder icon or the gear one. If you click on the gear icon and then the BTT button, it will open the BTT settings, but when you open the menu again, it is still highlighted.

I had no access to my Mac for a few days because it was at the repair shop. Now I've got it back, I'd like to ask if you could solve the issue already or if there is any news about that.
